I grew up in Chokio Minnesota and have my undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota Morris where I majored in Elementary Education and English.  My Master's degree is in Education and from the University of Minnesota.  Currently, I am in my 26th year of teaching in the Willmar Public Schools.  Throughout those years, I have taught a traditional classroom infused with Activity and recently I have been  teaching an Active Classroom of Mathematics. Active Recess has grown from my Active Classroom and vice versa.  As Ferris Bueller says," Life moves pretty fast, If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
